About

Jordan River is your host at The Fragrant Man.

I have been reading fragrance blogs for the past few years and enjoy the confluence of subjectivity, knowledge and opinion.  I thought I would join the conversation with some fragrant thoughts, take you on some fragrant journeys, interview some perfume personalities, and invite you to view some private collections from around the world.

Male-Interest fragrances as well as Olfactory Science, Art, Gardens, Fragrant Ingredients, Myths and Legends will also be covered.

Your comments and contributions are welcome.

I am not a Perfume Pontiff and am happy to be enlightened by your own knowledge and challenged by differing opinions.

  1. Hi! I just read your lovely post on The Perfumed Dandy’s blog and thought I would check yours out, too. What a nice site you have! I’m looking forward to some interesting reading. 🙂

  2. Anyone who is a friend of Lanier is a friend of mine. I look forward to reading your contributions on the subject of fragrance. I had no idea how many perfume aficionados there were in the blogging world. I feel like I hit the jackpot. 🙂
Thanks again for the lovely gift. You made my day!!

  5. My dearest Jordan, I have just received the exquisite oils. They are both unlike anything I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Rich and exotic. It was so kind of you to send them. I will use them sparingly, and when I do, I’ll think of you, my friend.
    Thank you again.

  6. Thank you for liking my Sunday Market in Ahmedabad and thus giving me another chance of checking out your blog. What an interesting life. It reminded me of visiting a tiny perfume shop in Egypt many years ago , and I would love to see the Jordan River with all its historical and spiritual significance. Thank you ! Namaste. . . .Anne
