   I like Elena’s description on Perfume Shrine..
   “Fermented prunes, cognac in oak barrels and handfuls of woolen knits folded into camphoraceous tissue paper that emits that borderline vibe between poison and medicine.” So good.Love the new word camphoraceous.

3. I have never smelled this brand, i follow them on FB and twitter. I’ll quote my girl Kafka on how the patchouli in Puredistance Black smelled too jammy and purple to bare ” Five minutes in, I feel as though I’ve been covered by fruit syrup. Twenty minutes in, I feel as though I’ve been transformed into a berry tart with unctuous, cloyingly sweet, fruited, purple Smucker’s jam, then sprinkled with rose petals and a dusting of saffron. I have to be honest, I lost my appetite — and I hadn’t eaten in over 12 hours.”

    Thought this quote by Jordan River was interesting: But there is another reason that I like to be fragrant. I use scent as a disguise because my personal aroma attracts men, women, dogs, cats and opossums if it is not veiled with blends of frankincense, wormwood and patchouli. In Asia I have to be wary of snakes.

    I am a fan of Puredistance on Facebook for a long time now.
    I like this quote the most: “Dear Reader, please excuse any impression of vanity or vain-glory. My reaction to this scent was so personal that I felt like the above fantastical events had taken place. All I could do was envision, smell, and feel this scent swirling into my life story.” I can relate to such experience for a couple of other perfumes…
